My Story

My yoga journey began in my university bedroom during COVID in 2020. As a stressed Psychology student feeling desolation at being unable to socialise outside of the house, I decided to try yoga on YouTube to bring routine, peace and release into my days. Little did I know how much it would change my life.

Since leaving university, I have been travelling and working abroad as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language for the past five years. My love for adventure and exploration has brought me to many places, but I've kept returning to East Asia, specifically Japan and South Korea.

My commitment to taking yoga seriously began while I was living in Seoul, South Korea, at the beginning of 2025. I discovered an international studio in Itaewon, with such wonderful teachers from around the world. My visits there reminded me of how precious yoga was for me holistically, and pulled me to deepen my learning further.​​

 

My Training

​

​I gained my YTT200 in Rishikesh, India, the yoga capital of the world. Rishikesh is a beautiful place full of spirituality and energy that instantly brings you to reflect on your life. Here, I learned from teachers who have practiced their entire lives, who embody the core philosophies and teachings of yoga, as a discipline, a practice and a way of life. Their presence alone is enough to inspire anybody.

My course specialised in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, but covered all important and traditional aspects of yoga, including mantra chanting, pranayama, yoga philosophy and alignment. I have since completed much of my own self-study in asana practice and attended classes taught by master yoga teachers across India, deepening my knowledge of traditional Hatha style.

 

My Philosophy​

My personal journey is still one of exploration and wonder. We are all students of life, even if we teach. Many people are seeking deeper truth from within, but overstimulation from today's society can disrupt that. Yoga allows you to remember who you are. The deeper, lighter, quieter place within you, which is accessible to everyone. I invite you to join me as we return to our true nature. A space where you can leave your stress, anxieties and busy schedule at the door, and step onto the mat with presence and intention. Today, it is so easy to get caught up in our mind and it's many fictional pressures and anxieties. Yoga is something we embody in our daily life; it is a way of living. Yoga helps you to shed away your ego, your self-inflicted pressures, and brings you back to the present moment. ​​

What my classes bring to you

I attempt to create a warm space that holds you gently and helps you holistically. However you come to the mat, my class is an opportunity to find stillness, presence and gratitude. To love. To learn. To listen to the quieter parts we often neglect to consider. â€‹

Through yoga guided by myself, over time you will progressively find yourself with:

Greater body awareness

Increased physical strength

Greater flexibility and mobility

Reduced feelings of stress

Lower anxiety
